Lewis Hamilton has split from his pop star girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger.
The couple confirmed in a statement they had ended their long-distance relationship after 20 months together.
The former F1 world champion, 25, and Pussycat Dolls frontwoman, 31, said they were focusing on their careers.
A statement said: ‘They have decided to go their separate ways.
‘They want to focus fully on their careers and will remain close friends.’

The couple first met at the MTV Europe Music Awards in November 2007, but didn’t start dating until May 2008.
Scherzinger was by Lewis’s side as he won a string of Grand Prixs before being crowned world champion in Brazil in November 2008.
However, 2009 saw the couple spending increasing amounts of time apart due to their busy careers.
